1) Being silly and giggling with our foster son over the phone first thing this morning - just such a great way to start the day! 2) Being part of this amazing extended family of ours - SUCH a blessing. 3) Recognizing ALL the ways that God truly has answered my prayers and blessed my life - perhaps not in ways I had anticipated, but always in ways SO much greater than I had ever dreamed! :)

For singer songwriter Ray Lamontagne--nothing makes a rainy day (or any day better than his music)
For a happy little girl this morning, heading to her "Gigi's". We are so lucky to have my mom so close and so involved in her life.
For hopes and dreams. Without them, I think I would just fade away.

Happy Spring Day to all of you (hopefully not snowing for some)
1.) This morning I realized that I'm the not too logical dreamer and schemer of the two of us. I'm so glad that I have such a well balanced, logical and earth bound man to keep my head out of the clouds. I come up with ideas and he tells me how they would work or not, if it's even a good idea and then if it is, how it would work. Together we make a pretty good pair
2.) I'm grateful to be able to afford organic op and heirloom seeds for my garden so that I can save them for years to come. Biodiversity and preservation is so important to me and I'm glad to be able to be part of it.
3.) I'm glad with all of the strife and war in the world, that America, warts and all, is relatively peaceful. Even though we have terrible and violent events, we don't have bombs and chemical weapons dropping on us daily. For that I'm grateful.
Be blessed and have a wonder filled and peaceful day.

I worked in the garden the past 2 days and got lots planted.
And it's raining today!! Thank you Lord, for watering my gardens.
I am thankful for some really good soil out back where a pine tree forest was cut down about 40 years ago. All those trees have been decomposing all these years and now it's some of the best composted soil I have ever seen. And it's FREE.
Nice day to stay inside.
Kris

Today April 24th I am Thankful for 1. A wonderful grandmother and mother I can still talk with everyday. 2. A garden that still is ok despite all the extreme weather we have been having in Texas. 3. Gods good graces and blessings each and every day.

The privilege to pray. The windy day today. I know it is useful for something. The work that I have to do each day and which keeps my busy, mind and body.

I'm blessed that the weekend is coming. Started the day at work in tears and a button flew off. It can get worse, but I'm hoping not!
For the sun. Yesterday was cold and grey and rainy--today is sunny and chilly, but I'll take it.
For will. I'm steeling myself to look for a new job--this one just makes me miserable and life is too show to be miserable.

Jonni.. Somehow I picture you as the coordinator for a school cafeteria in a Montessori/Waldorf/private school Sort of like Jamie Oliver's quest to feed American children healthy. Or, heck, try what Paula Dean did & sell sandwiches & cookies outside of P & G or wherever, & build an enterprise.. (minus the slimy pork products) Could you bake some things & sell on your lunch hour? I am grasping here, but I hate that you are so frustrated. If you could swing a week or 2 or 3 (even if it meant without pay), it may open up a whole new world for you. You have a talent(s) GO FOR IT!

Warm sunshine! Yay! Spending time with my granddaughter (she spent the night last night) Hearing from my sister that she has a plan B for this cancer treatment.

Jonni - I'm praying for doors to open to a wonderful new opportunity, and that until they do, things ease up at work for you. Nobody should have to work under conditions that make them cry! You deserve better - I'm so sorry you're going through that! Love you!
1) Early morning time spent alone with my husband before he leaves for work. 2) A son who loves working with his dad AND who will help us whenever we ask. 3) A call from my foster daughter to celebrate that her last class was over - on to graduation! :)

Jonni ~ HUGS!!!! I've been where you are and life IS too short. Be creative and sometimes think outside the box when job hunting. You're a very talented and strong lady, Jonni, don't sell your self short on this. You deserve a good job that while challenging is also fulfilling.
Today my blessings are...
1.) I'm grateful for my tall dead grass and weed choked yard. Yanking and raking is the greatest work out evah'!
2.) I'm very grateful that I have an excellent blood pressure for my age and any age! My family all have high blood pressure issues and I feel blessed to be able to avoid it with my life style choices and diet.
3.) I am blessed with a whole storage unit full of clothing that used to be too small for me and tons of fabric that I hadn't thrifted years ago! I don't have to spend a lot of money that's already tight in my household on clothes and re-fashioning is buckets o' fun anyway.
I hope that all of you chickies have a glorious and relaxing weekend [;D]

1. I got accepted into the Main St. farmer's market in Chattanooga!!!!!!!!!
2. It's raining!!! I hope all my veggies that are already coming up will grow like weeds now. And the seeds I planted will come up and grow like weeds too, so I will have something to take to market.
3. I am so grateful for the area where I live and all the people who appreciate real food and come out to support us small farmers. Please, if there are farmer's markets near you, go out and buy good farm raised local food for you and your family. You will be so glad you did. And so will they!
