I can look outside my front door and see so many things blooming right now.
My apple trees are a buzz with bees!!
I made farmer's cheese for a dinner last night with other farmers and it was a big hit! And so was the lamb quiche. I always worry my food won't get eaten. And when it does, I am so happy.

I love when food gets eaten, and Kris, I'm SURE you're a wonderful cook!!!!
For today, Wednesday:
Grateful that the horrible loud thunder and lightning woke me up, but NOT my little girl--that would have been an even longer night!
Grateful for my marriage. Some good friends are experiencing divorce, dividing up their possessions, worrying about the house, etc...and I just think how lucky we are. We have ups and downs but underneath there is true love and I wouldn't change it for the world.
I saw the first fat bumble bee of the season yesterday on my porch. I can't wait till more of his friends come round!

Good Morning!
I'm always inspired by the blessings that everyone writes each day, they remind me, even when I'm feeling low, that we all are truly blessed, and that even the little things are significant.
I'm absolutely pooped today, but these are my blessings today
1.) That I'm happily married to my best friend, and no matter what, we have endured so many hardships but we still adore each other and keep it fresh after 23 1/2 years
2.) That our land lords and myself are half way through lambing and haven't lost a single ewe or lamb, and even though absolutely tired, I 'm still smiling this morning watching a young ewe bond with her baby. It's magic!
3.) When we were leaving Seattle after a trip, and we saw a women's shelter. We had a bunch or toys brought back from my grandma's big collection and decided to donate the toys. To see the gratitude and delight in a needy child's face when I gave her some of my grandma's beautiful stuffed toys I'm still getting a lump because she was in a battered women's shelter in Seattle and frightened, and that I could gave some small comfort.
We are all truly blessed everyday, and have so much to be thankful for.

Annika, that's a true blessing, all of them! Hey, have you ever heard of Project Night Night? One of my favorite causes. Basically, they provide these little satchels and you fill them with a blanket, a book and a new stuffed toy. Doesn't have to be a million dollars, but these satchels are then given to women's crisis shelters and shelters where children are so that they can keep these items and take them with them when they finally leave. Something that comforts, that they love and something they can actually control in a time of crisis.

Thankful for: My son who is always helping me with one project or another My sister who doesn't live near but I have had opportunity to spend time with, though for reasons I wish weren't happening. (there is always something to be grateful for) My grandchildren who always cheer me no matter what is going on in life.

Today i am grateful for God's watch care. (We have friends whose house burnt last night but they all got out safely.) My morning tea. The insight that my son and husband have into situations that I can't always see.

Today, Thursday:
I am grateful that I was able to wake up to this beautiful day when others have faced tragedy in the last 24 hours.
For this picture perfect day. I plan to enjoy it as much as I can at work by taking walks on my lunch and afterward. Tomorrow it turns cold!
For the weekend coming up with friends and family. A first Communion and a bridal shower, both celebrations!

For a great night spent with my family--dinner at Wunderbar, a local New German cuisine restaurant that's become a nice hangout for our little clan
For our little house still standing--the weather has been terrible round here these last few days with storms at night, but our little house, though built not too well, has always stood strong.
For the weekend, even if both of my "free" days are devoted to a long drive to a first communion and cooking for a bridal shower on Sunday. I'll try to simply relish being off work and away from the negativity that plagues our clients!
