Does anyone have a good source or suggestion for reusable produce bags so that I can stop using those awful plastic ones in the vegetable aisle at the grocery store? I saw some in Territorial Seed Co. catalog, but they were $14.50 for 3. Was hoping to find something less expensive. Thanks!

Make your own with heavy-duty unbleached muslin. It's cheap and you can even decorate them with iron-on transfers or embroidery.

i love the produce bags they were first called myers bags. she invented them. i find them at what we call a dollar store. variety stores carry them now and then. do the cloth bags preserve freshness like a meyer bag mara? i do like the bags since they are easy to clean and reuse. i am due to get more.

My mom has had either cotton mesh, or polyester mesh bags she's used for produce bags before. You can find them at lots of places online. I've been using the plastic mesh bags that onions and oranges often come in, and take those to the store to use as produce bags.

Never thought to reuse the bags the apples and oranges come in. Neat idea!
