You did a great job. With my students, I use rubber fish which can be found from an art supply store. We have them from teeny eeny to koi. They work great. They are not too expensive and they don't smell! I found a small rubber fish magnet at wall-mart. Kids love it. We actually did this process at the Hilton Hotel in Hawaii with a real fish, but the paper and fabric I tried it on had a putrid smell after we got home. Rubber is definitely better.
