Lately I've noticed that its just before lunch that I start to get dizzy, feeling like I am on a boat and weak/shaky. It only happens right before lunch or shortly after. Almost every day.

Yesterday I could feel it coming on so I quick at a almond butter and jelly sandwich and that didn't help so I drank a glass of soda and about 15 minutes after I started feeling a little better.

I'm 5'7" and 135lbs and in good shape, I eat a healthy and avoid soda unless eating doesn't take that symptom away.

Any clue to what it could be? I usually eat 4-5 times a day roughly 4 hours apart. Yesterday it came on pretty strong and I had 2 eggs, a piece of toast, one cup of coffee and lots of water. Then for lunch I had that sandwich, a bowl of chili and finished with water and that didn't seem to help so I drank that cup of soda. After that dizzy spell came and finally left I was totally fine the rest of the day even though I didn't eat again for 5.5 hours later at dinner.

I asked my doctor and they checked my thyroid and glucose and it was great so I have no idea what else it could be. THanks in advance!

Well I was going to say check to see if you have diabetes, but your doctor already did! Maybe your body clock is just set for something to eat at that time. Perhaps a small, healthy, snack an hour or so before lunch will help. Do you take multivitamins or supplements? You could be deficient in potassium or something.

Best of luck getting this sorted out.

Could it be a drop in your blood pressure at that time of day? Maybe you could buy a cuff and monitor your b/p...I get dizzy sometimes but I think it's due to some meds. I take. If all else fails get an MRI. I know what you mean about the soda--I need it to maintain my energy throughout the day. Hope you find some answers.

It could be low blood sugar (hyperglycemia) i have that and so have to regulate what and when i eat. There are some days though that i get a sugar drop . I carry a tube of glucose tabs on me all the time. They will give you the pick me up until you can eat. Mid morning snack is cheese stick and Triscuits. Lunch (which always includes a banana) snack is a handful of Almonds. Seems to work most of the time.

Yes that started happening to me in my late 20's. I figured out over the years and going to the doctor that it was low blood sugar plus low blood pressure from time to time. As long as I eat 3 meals a day and snacks in between i do pretty good. Also I noticed if I kept my stress level down it seemed to help a lot also. To much stress seems to cause me to have anxiety attacks. I try very hard to keep things low keyed. And eat right. I keep drama type people out of my life. I only hang out with people who like to laugh and have fun in life. Plus no caffeine.

Yep, I usually try to keep negative people to a very minimum but I have been pretty stressed out by some recent drama, maybe that is the cause? Could stress cause this phenomena to happen every day about the same time?

Krystle, i think that stress aggravates just about anything. It may not be causing the symptoms but it could quite possibly magnify them.

Yes stress could be the cause. Stress causes a lot of health problems. When I am stressed out I get a ringing in my ears. (Tinnitis)

Dorinda, this is interesting. I get Tinnitis too and have never linked it to stress, but I work in a very stressful environment (sales) so i gotta wonder....
