I haven't started saving/storing seeds yet. (It's on my to-do list for sure!) Where do you buy your organic seeds? Peaceful Valley has a nice selection but they come in large quantities and prices to match. I just need a small packet of each variety.

I don't know enough backyard gardeners to do a swap or share an order.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you!

I just placed an order with Baker's Creek Heirloom Seeds. I'm not sure if they are organic seeds or not but they do say that their seeds are non-hybrid, non-GMO, non-treated, and non-patented. Also, they do not buy their seed from Monsanto owned Seminis. Their website is www.rareseeds.com. Another company you could try is Seed Savers Exchange. Their website is www.seedsavers.org. They do have some seeds in their catologue that is marked organic. Those are the two companies I order from the most. I have had excellent results ordering from them, usually getting my orders very quickly.

Thanks Candace! I've heard of both of those organizations but had never spent time on their sites.

I guess I'm too late to order tomato seeds because of where I live, but I may be able to get some other stuff. There is always next year.

Thanks again!

I get all mine from Seed Savers. They also have great information on saving seed and organic seed also.

I ordered from Baker Creek and Seed Savers this year. Baker Creek has great customer service and slipped a free packet of seeds in our order for us to try.

Hi! I also buy from Seed Savers! If you have someone to share the purchase and seeds with, it helps. My daughter and I are sharing each packet of veggies and herbs, which gives each of us enough, with a bit of extra for the thinning!

Keep your hands dirty!
