Is it my imagination, or is winter weather showing up a little early this year? We've got a freeze coming tonight and I have to deal with my strawberry pot! HELP! My thought is to wrap it in newspaper, then put the whole thing in a double thickness garbage bag until I can get a bale of straw tomorrow. Will it work? Do I have to drag the durn thing into my house?
My sister use to use a length of insulation to wrap her rose bush pots, tied it around the pot and then mulched the top. Not sure if that would work or not.

I have brought mine in to a shed that has marginal heat but doesn't ever freeze. Do you have a garage where they can remain dormant for the winter? The other option would be to plant them and refurbish your pot next year with the runners they send out since strawberries like to be "renovated" every 3-5 years or production diminishes drastically. Hope that helps!
with a happy heart
