Welcome Ally and other UK gals! So exciting to have you with us. So glad you started talking about the virtual groups. That would be fun for me, too!

Vanessa,
YUP and YESSIRREE . . you COULD become a member of our chapter. We are in the Henhouse forum as FARMGIRLS SOUTHWEST!!!
Seriously! You could . . . just send an email to Brian at brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org and request that.

Marianne . . . YOU TOO!!!! You could join us as well!

All it takes is a request to Brian, then sign into that forum and a post introducing yourself and then we'll get you involved in our virtual "stuff!

A big farmgirl hug to all of you from UK. You have joined a wonderful group of women. I feel so supported here and I learn so much here. I look forward to learning about all things "across the pond."
My local bookstore has a few British magazines and I have fallen in love with "The Simple Things." It has only been available for a few months and it is expensive here, but I get my money's worth. I read it cover to cover and I enjoy the "British" traditions, words and projects in it. It's " sort of " American but it really isn't. When I am done reading it, I tear it all up for the recipes and crafts and interesting stories.
I have never been to your country but my daughter has and she loved the Cotswalds ( spelling?) the best and Avon. She especially loved the sheep.
Anyway, a welcome sent from warm, sunny Gulf Coast of Florida. Joey

Hi Joey

I have looked at 'The Simple Things' - its a new magazine and hasn't been around long and its very very expensive in comparison to others like it even over here.

Your comments made me smile as i feel like that about MaryJanesFarm magazine (and the forums!!!!)... Its sort of 'British' but really isn't and I find things that relate totally to my life and other bits that I find very alien!!!

But thats what adds to the fun in life!!!
