Okay so I don't know if you remember my little Boston Terrier Baxter. But he is a trouble maker lately. The neighbor near us has a little dog and a big pit bull dog. The little dog has puppies. Here lately every time I let Baxter out he takes off to the neighbors to see the puppies. I can hear the neighbors yelling at Baxter then the little dog chases him all the way home. He comes running up with a big smile on his face. How am I going to break him of this? He thinks it is a game. And all he wants to do is see the puppies. I am afraid the big dog is going to get him one day. He just started doing this since the puppies were born. If I turn my back for a second he is gone.

Looks like Baxter is convincing you he has to be leashed. I know you don't want to fool around with a bigger dog teaching him to stay home. Good luck. Marianne
I wouldn't let Baxter run loose with those conditions, I'd teach him how to walk or go out on a leash. Marly

I would say most definitely a Baxter proof fenced yard! Another option is the invisible fence. A good friend of ours has her yard fenced with this and it keeps her heelers and shepherds in. The only down side I see is that it doesn't keep the OTHER dogs out like a traditional fence would.
Good luck with Baxter!
