Years ago I looked into tea plants. Well, I took the plunge and have 6 plants on order. I've been reading up on how best to raise them (this is Colorado and not an ideal local.) I'm very excited to try these. From the literature 6 plants is enough for one person for a year, but as these will probably end up in the greenhouse I don't want to take all the space. I can't wait to receive them.

OOHHH That sounds exciting Laurie! I am a huge tea drinker. Now when you say tea plants...what exactly did you order? I'd be interested in hearing more! Good Luck!

Montrose Girl, where did you purchase your plants. That is on my list of plants to get this spring because I am a big tea drinker. And thanks for the info on 6 plants being enough for one year. Please keep us posted on how they are doing, and are you growing in pots or in the ground? Is this black tea? I'm trying to grow 2 coffee plants right now. There growing, but of course it takes almost 7 years to produce. LOL What was I thinking?

Tiana, tea whether green, white, or black comes from the same plant, the difference is how you process it. Here's the link where I purchased mine and they have some good information on here too. Because of my location, I will be in pots unless I get the greenhouse to grow bigger. :) www.Greenteaplants.com Laurie
