1. Sign ups start now and end Feb 10th.
2. You must email your partner and exchange names & addresses by February 14th. Mail out deadline is February 28th.
3.Body of doll should be 3”-5” (not counting the loop on top of head or beads hanging below).
4. Doll can be made from, and decorated with, any materials. (fabric, felt, beads, etc)
5. If you need ideas, do a google images search or see tutorials on youtube.

Sign me up! I have dotee doll parts screaming, MAKE ME! MAKE ME! LOL!
I just love these little dolls. In my craft/sewing studio, I have an old antique china cabinet, that I painted to give it that romantic shabby chic look. Because the glass was missing in the front, I replaced it with a wire type screen. Now I can clip my dotee dolls to it and it looks really cute. Also, this way, I can keep track of them, should one want to stray and get into mischief.
My DH aka Farmbrother "Big Buzz" thought it would be funny to remove and hide them. He told me that the Dotee Doll Protection Services came to get them because I had their little bodies restrained and they could not move. Sometimes, I don't know about him. LOL!
The worse part being, He tried to charge me money to return each one. Said he was their attorney and I needed to pay court costs and attorney fees.LOL! I nipped that real quick, when I handed him a bill from the imaginary maid, cook, laundress, seamstress. LOL! Guess you could say we struck a plea bargain. LOL! Do you all get the feeling that Big Buzz and I have way to much time on our hands? Actually we don't, but we are always pulling pranks on each other.
I told him he could make a dotee doll and we could have a give away and give it to one of his farmsisters. He went to get the thermometer and told our 34 year old son to stay out of my craft room, I might be contagious. LOL!
Pray for me..I never know what he will do next.

Oh Debbie you made my day. I love your idea of hanging them like that. I have last year's in a container and they definitely are not happy at all there, I promised I would work something out for them. I do love my Dotee's too!

Debbie, that was a great story. I have my Dotees at work, hanging in my cubicle to remind me that there is more to life than work. A new guy moved into the cubicle catty-cornered from me and I think they worried him. An older lady came by next day to ask about them and I explained they are a symbol of international friendship and love, and explained the whole swap routine. After that, the new guy asked about them. After i explained to him, he said, "just don't bring in any clowns, clowns are creepy!" He must have thought they were voodoo dolls or something!

Now that is hysterical! I am sitting here all by myself and giggling like you would not believe. Funny that he thinks clowns are creepy. However, this is not the first time I have heard someone say that. The part about the possibility of your co-worker thinking they could be voodoo dolls just totally wiped me out.

Glenda , Mardy McFly is absolutely festive! She is so cute with all her feathers and and so cheery, I am lucky to get a dotee from you. she and her Dotee sisters are just loving to be together and having a party on their own.
She arrived today to beaming with a smile so happy it cheered me to open the box and see her there.
I am sending Miss Ladybug to you in the mail tomorrow morning. I hope you enjoy her as well.
I will post as soon as I get it uploaded on the computer.

OH... I have my JANUARY dotee picture. Just the cutest cutest.. I wanted to make sure you all saw the wonderful Dotee that Brenda made. (We haven't named her.. but she she is the envy of all the other Dotees with her magnificently embroidered gown, that Brenda did herself ! (sorry she is side wise)
