I visited your blog and 'Farm Made' and took a look at what you create. You are quite talented. I loved it all.
To your question....I do both....I make color charts and sketches, keep a folder with the info in it, box up the materials like it's a kit....but then, once started, I wing it and go with the flow. There are so many variables and interruptions that stop the process. So, I guess I'm an organized mess!

LOL Catherine! That is so true. I always think of the verse, "Man makes his plans, but the Lord directs His steps." I can plan all I want, but I've got to stay flexible too, otherwise it would just be frustrating.
