Posted a picture of a few of my towels. The problem is, I'm afraid to use them.

I have a set my grandmother stitched. Pinned to them, in her handwriting, on a little slip of paper, it says "For Shirley". Well. needless to day they have never been used!! Much too precious. Yours look so pretty too!

I have a beautiful set of "days of the week" hand embroidered towels that I was actually gifted from a fellow farmgirl. They are so beautiful, but like you gals, I can bring myself to use them for fear of them getting ruined! Very pretty towels Nancy Jo! Hugs,

I got a set when I got married twenty eight years ago and have used them all these years. They are so sturdy and I love seeing them!

Lovely work as always. I had a favorite one that I loved and I thought I would "try" and use it. It ended up getting ruined and I said never again. If I embroider something, I use it for decoration only. The do look so pretty hanging up in a room.

hi Nancy ; you can use you towels take spray starch and spray them really good iron and let them dry you can use shout spot remover in a blue bottle if you get some thing on them the spray starch acts like a procter from stains i wear bib aprons and I spray starch all over the bib and the skirt part then put it in the dyer for a few minutees if you get a stain on on it use the stain remover. hugs sheila

I have some I use that I made and the ones that are sentimental to me I keep out just for display.
