I'm interested but have a question first. you make the number of blocks for each member and mail one block to each? ie: nine members, 8 blocks sent out?

Terri thank you! I have 2 blocks done, but just starting quilting i have no idea if i did everything, or even anything, right. they're a little over 12" each and i am using scraps that i have left over from making quilted handbags. not pieced handbags, just quilted lol. if that makes sense. i thought, this should be easy, how hard can it be? you sew straight seams right? omg. i have actually had to tear out! pssst Mart.. RIGHT sides together. sigh. I'm feeling a bit embarrassed for thinking i could do this with seasoned quilters. I need to get a phone or instagram thingy or something so i can send photos of what i've done. I would use them, and i love them, but then i made them right? lol. again Terri, thank you!

I do rip, almost every time i sew, just didn't think putting pieces together would boggle my mind. i am having a hard time with measuring. well.. not measuring but figuring how big to make pieces, strips, squares, so that it ends up the right size.

Hi Marti,
You might enjoy working with a quilt kit where everything is cut and ready to go. I know they appear expensive but after you buy all the fabric and supplies when you try to do it all yourself, you just might come out ahead. Plus less frustration.

Great idea Terri, i was thinking along the same lines. I'm going to have to give in and head to the most fun store ever! lol (ok didn't really need an excuse, but got one handy anyway right?)
I got your card today, how sweet! Love the photo, you're a doll.. and your girl is so pretty. the card with the horse and kitty is so precious, and the hanky with the cardinal on it is as well. Looks very much like what i see out my window. Got one coming back your way. I wrote a book.. ok it was just a letter but i didn't want to have to pay a publisher just to send it, so i'm starting over lol. You shall receive it soon!

I'm ok with waiting. Our deadline isn't until May, We can still get started (I for one, won't be able to start till after the end of Feb cuz I have too much on my plate. My deciding factor in joining this swap was the extended deadline ;) )

I am so anxious to see all the beautiful and unique quilt blocks that will come to my door.
I already have my apron on and my sewing machine warmed up.
Enjoy the journey of making them, don't hurry.

It's time to get the quilt block pattern books out, and go fabric shopping! I do have a lot of spring color in my stash, but I think I should go shopping any way! Now, if I can get my sewing machine up and running, or I may be doing the blocks by hand!
