I recieved my journal from Nancy, I will post pictures later. this was a fun swap, I will put your journal in the mail on tuesday nancy I have been sick so a little slow getting it to the post office. it is a cute journal thanks   
thourgh out she put pretty pictures as well. thanks nacny great swap, put yours in the mail today. |

Ceejay,
I have your smash book all finished except for the last page. I had ordered something to attach to your book. I went to pick it up Saturday morning, hurried back home as fast as my wobbly foot would let me, thinking if I hurried I could get in in the mail by noon. When I opened the package to attach this little treasure, it was broken. I really need to add this to your book, it is a very special something that I saw and made me think of you. So here is where I am, I need to reorder it on Monday, but I am almost certain I will not receive it until Thursday or Friday morning. If I have it by Friday morning I can get in in the mail by Friday noon. I may even check to see what the cost would be to overnight it to you, so you would have it possibly on Saturday. I am really upset this has happened. I really want this book to be special for you. I had even thought about going ahead and mailing the book to you and then when the little treasure comes in, I would mail it to you, and have you try to attach it where I wanted it to be. After much thought however, I decided I didn't like that idea. I want it to be special when you open it.
I am really sorry, but I felt as though I needed to let you know what is going on without ruining your surprise.
After conversing with a couple of farmsisters and showing them your book, I asked their opinion, and they felt like it would be much nicer to have the treasure attached when you open it. Aw, gee, we all love you so much.
Take care, and please forgive me. This little treasure was something I saw when we were caring for my aunt. It was a last minute idea, but once I saw it, I knew I wanted you to have it. I promise, it is not a mouse. LOL!

Well apparently the Smash book I made for Diane has decided to travel awhile before going to her fair town. She emailed me today and hadn't received it yet, and I mailed it to her on Feb. 4, So I sent her the tracking number and then looked it up my self and it has gone from Loleta to Garden Bells CA to Memphis Tn to Richmond CA to Garden Bells CA to Memphis TN and that was the last thing on the 15th of Feb. I hope it is in one peice.. I sent her pictures of it and I am going to my post office tomorrow to see if they can find out what is happening in TN. It is supposed to go to Arkansas and it hasn't been to that state at all. Oh my, sigh.. :( . Poor diane.
We shall see.
I addressed it and taped the address so it would be ok but I don't know.......
Continuing story tomorrow....

Well It is back in Eureka. I should have it in my hands tomorrow. I discussed it with Diane. and I will keep her up to date. apparently the postal system changed her rural route and it confused the main post office who sends the mail out to all post offices. They said they didn't know where it was supposed to go. Soooo I will see what is wrong tomorrow and my post master will see what she thinks on Monday.

Hi Darlene :) I had a similar thing happen to me,not long ago. It eventually got to its destination but a week late. They sent it to the wrong place, my address was correct, they made the mistake :( So frustrating...

ONCE UPON A TIME....
A very mischievous little fairy was given an important mission. She was asked to take a very special and secret document to the leader of the woodland fairy Godmother --way, way out in a land called Arkansas.
The little fairy decided to see the sights along the way. She totally ignored the time stamp on her instructions. As she flew out of Loleta, CA she decided it would be nice to stop for tea at the huge castle!
Later that afternoon she decided to visit the gnomes which reside deep within the Redwood forest close to Eureka. Oh, there must have been a magic potion in the coffee cakes they served to her. She fell asleep underneath a layer of ferns.
The next day she woke up feeling refreshed and buzzed off to meet with her butterfly friends for an afternoon of friendly gossip and grapes at a winery close to Bell Gardens, CA.
“OOPsY....got a little carried away there..hiccup.....hiccup...’scuse me, please”, I gots to take a wittle nap!”
Onward....The next day the little fairy swooped into a wonderful place called Memphis, TN. “ Wow...I think I will spend a few minutes down at Beale St, catch a little music while I am here”, she said to herself as she followed the path of the river and followed the sounds of laughter. “Awe, there’s the Peabody! I NEED to watch those silly ducks walk from the roof to the lobby!” And so she flew onto the roof. She carefully stowed the secret document under a huge vase of flowers there on the roof. “Now, another little nap and then I will send a fast report back to Mama Darlene. She will NEVER believe all the sights I am seeing!” (See you later she thought as she drifted off to sleep). To be continued...
