One little girl is in big doo-doo today.

She has a bad habit of texting constantly when she goes to a sleepover, or when I am gone on a weekend trip with hubby.

"Hi Mom"

"Talk to me mommy...."

"I love you Mom"

"I'm going to bed Mom"

Ugh....gotta love her....

She texted until almost 2am, and then again at 7:30am. She's the youngest and misses me the most when she's away.

I got very little sleep and woke up with a stuffy nose. Hmpf!

I need ideas of something that will keep her feeling "safe" when she is away from me. Maybe a personalized necklace?

Got any ideas for a sleep deprived Mom?

Maybe give her a pretty handkerchief with your perfume on it so it smells like you? You could write or embroider a little message on it and she would be able to hold it when she feels nervous.

My daughter always slept in an unwashed teeshirt from my Mom because it smelled like her. I went away for a week when she was 4 and I left her a checkbook and checks. She knew my checkbook was IMPORTANT and that of course I would come back for it. MY mother made sure she didn't write any checks. She also had a picture of us in her school lunchbox so she could see it everyday. Joey

Thank you both. Those are both great ideas.
