Louisiana's Mardi Gras will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Parades will begin on January 19th. All parades will "pause" from January 28 to February 5, because of SUPER BOWL XLVII, which is on February 3. there will be parades away from the New Orleans area; in Metairie, Slidell, Mandeville, Covington, and Chalmette. Chalmette has great parades.
New Orleans parades will resume from February 6 to the 12th.

Sounds like so much fun have never been
to Louisiana but its on my list. I have
heard the food is great!

Roe and CJ, the food in Louisiana is really good. I've travelled all over and never have found better food. However, I guess everyone might say that. LOL
And- the food in South Louisiana is different than the food in North Louisiana.
