I'm going to look at these does today. I just got an email from the lady who has them! The first picture is the doe that is bred, on the left. Due in Feb. This lady has been to my farm before and bought turkey eggs, so I know she's someone I can trust for not being a goat trader. She's had these goats awhile.

The goats I was going to go see a few days ago where just bought from another guy that day. And when I went to see them yesterday, the guy had already taken them to a sale and sold them. And the guy who bought them is a goat trader. So these poor goats will be taken to several more places. I hate this. There are so many people who do this. That's why I am pricing my goats so high that only serious people will even call about them. And those 2 does were not Faith and Sadie, that way he described them anyway.

So wish me luck. Again. Hopefully I'll be bringing home a doe or 2 today for Christmas!

Kristin is the doe thats bred the white one? I hope they look nice and you are able to get them. Sorry about not seeing the other ones. I hate when they trade and keep them moving like that. Its not a good life for the goats its really hard on them. I keep my prices descent too because it does help weed out the traders.
Good luck today and let us know what you do......Kinda exciting to get some new goats.

I meant to say it's the one on the right, not left. I don't really like plain ole white goats. The goat that's staying here awhile is white and she stays dirty.

Congrats Kristin!!! I am so glad you were able to get some new does. Its fun and exciting to get some new animals. They look like really nice healthy does. I am glad they waited for you.Hope they blend well with the other does you have. Only 2 months or less away and one will already be giving you babies and milk. Thats what I call a bonus package.

I am so happy I found these does. And I feel like I've made some good friends too. She's been talking to me on FB. They are both 3 years old and will be 4 March and April. This is the brown does first pregnancy. I'll have 3 first fresheners soon.

Yes, sometimes things just work out if you have enough patience. I knew I would find some, but it is a little frustrating to always be missing out on some good ones.

I have the new does up front til I can get the electric fence fixed. Then they'll go to the back yard so they all can meet, then they'll all be put together. I don't want to stress them all out too much right now. The new does look healthy with nice pick eye lids and good teeth and feet. So I am not worried about anything. And they came from good stock. Hopefully they'll be easy milkers. I shall see soon.

Thanks y'all! They are really nice sweet goats and very friendly too. I am so thankful for that. I'll be getting John Henry back next weekend. I don't think Abby and Zarah and Ada are pregnant. I'll put the buck in with those 3 and the 2 new does. Looks like I'll only be having 2 does to kid in Feb now. Very disappointed about this. And I started so early too.

Lamancha goats are very interesting for sure. They are all so different too. Some are louder than others. Some are as loud as a Nubian.

I have not put the 2 new does in with the others yet. I am waiting til John Henry comes back. And I need to get Ada, the white doe, back to her home first too. She has some horn scurs and she has already tried to head butt Trudy when I bring her to the milk room at night. I don't want Ada to hurt them. And she is acting really aggressive. She is much better for sure, that one.

I sure hope it's not too late to breed ZeeBoo now. And I hope John's not too tired from all his work lately.

I got John Henry back yesterday!!!! He's in the back yard now with Zeeboo. I had taken Trudy out since she is already bred and put Abby in because I'm just not thinking she's pregnant. But poor Trudy ran around looking for her friend Zeeboo. So I let her back in this morning and took Abby back out again. I sure hope John Henry gets Zeeboo. I am also trying to get him registered. I should get the paperwork in the mail from the lady I got him from soon.

I have been letting the new does out for a few minutes every day. They are all still being mean to each other. Trudy is ok but I think since Zeeboo is not pregnant, they are more aggressive toward her. This might take longer than I thought. And I don't want to stress the others out too much. Penelope is real close to kidding. And so is Trudy.

Deborah, when you get ready for goats, let me know. I'm selling every kid that's born this year. I'm castrating all the Boer crosses for meat. If there are full Lamancha bucks, I'll wait to see if anyone wants a breeding buck. Anyway, I hope to have 6 goats to kid this year. 2 in Feb. What are you working on here? And how often are you here? You are welcome to come visit. Or we could meet somewhere if you have time. I would love to meet you. You know Kelly Wall, right? She's not too far from me. Be careful out there on the road. It's crazy out there.
