I have a cake recipe that I want to convert into mini cakes. How do I figure out how long to bake them for? Just keep testing?

I would probably test them. Are your cakes similar in size to cupcakes?
The box usually give a time for cupcakes and you could use that to
help in your estimate.

No, I'm thinking those little loaf type pans. Eventually I'd like to make it from scratch, but for now I'll use a box mix.

Deb, try baking them for about 30 min., then checking them. Add 5-10 mintues as needed.
