You sure are getting some mileage from that book. What a great thing to find.

That would make a nice tree skirt. Nice. Marly

hey Diane, don't laugh,,, while at Hobby Lobby & Joanns today I actually looked at the various 'tree skirts' that I might be able to re-purpose into a skirt....bupkis... but I am Not done shopping! lol! Oh and you are so right....a pair of cowgirl boots would make the skirt rock! :>) HoHoHo & Bingle Jells!

Tree skirts aren't the same as they used to be. You almost have to make a tree skirt and then make the tree skirt into a skirt, in order to not look like the 'made in china' tree skirts in the stores these days. The one in that book is really cute!

What a cool idea!
I have a small tree skirt that my grandaughter (8 yrs old) loves! I am going to make her a skirt out of it. She will love it!
Thanks for sharing this nifty idea.

My aunt's poodle skirt served as my grandmother's tree skirt for years! always one of my favorites and i wanted it as a skirt but she had a tiny waist!

Years ago my Mother made a Tree skirt out of deep red velvet and trimmed it in gold. My grand-daughter was 1st grade I think and she loved that skirt so great-gramma gave it to her and she wore it to school. MB
