DH took Monday afternoon off of work so we could do some exploring in Wisconsin-Check out the foliage and get a really good hamburger at the "Dairy Barn" in Lena, WI. I've been knee deep in painting, decluttering and cleaning for the appraisal on the 15th and my frantic pace has gotten the better of me....He knows me too well!

Driving along some old county roads near Lena we came across this field with a very large herd of BLACK cows...I thought they were beautiful! Can a cow be beautiful??
Anyway...just wanted to share with you a little glimpse of what our autumn is turning out to be.

Yes Melody, a cow can be beautiful and the ones in your pictures certainly are! Thanks for sharing them with us. Best of luck with the appraisal.

Yes - SO beautiful, Melody! And I agree that cows can be beautiful... One of our good friends used to own cows - they were beautiful AND fluffy! I've never seen fluffy cows before! Loved them!!! Hugs - Nini

Yes! They are beautiful! So glad you were able to go exploring on such a beautiful fall day. My dad and I went on our annual trip to Gays Mills to the apple orchards yesterday. I can not even express how amazing the colors were! Hill after hill of yellows, reds, oranges, and golds. The sides of the roads were adorned with red sumac, little white daisy type flowers, and pretty purple flowers. I was in complete awe. I just kept thanking God for everything I was seeing.
I hope you are able to get everything done that you want for the appraisal. I know you've been working hard to get everything in order!

DH is such a nice guy....I think he needed a REST too!
I did notice the colors were more vibrant up where we are and the further south we drove the more sporadic it became and the colors were muted. It was sunny and and relaxing and just what we both needed!

Pretty contrast on the pics. It reminds me of when I used to travel to Wisc. with my mom every year. She was from there. What I would give for 1 more trip to Wisc. with my mom. Laura
