How nice that must have been. Wish we could have a little cooler weather down south. We are getting excited about lows in the 50's. Can not wait for it to get a bit cooler. Enjoy!

Blessings

Has been a bit cool here on Long Island too- but just lovely Fall weather- not near frost yet- Thank Goodness! I wish September could last forever! LOL Lo 70's during the day and down into the 50's at night......ahhhhh.
We did have a big rain and wind storm here last night which wreeked havoc on my glamping tent- the wind tore my rain fly, and needless to say I had a little water get in- but I just went out and used the shop vac to suck up water on the floor in the corners etc, and I have my quilts from the queen raised air bed drying out on the line. Cant wait to get in there and sit with my tea again tonight and read for a bit. Its my very own lil piece of paradise!
Glad you got your plants in on time Melody!
Hugs,

~Laurie

Here, too, fall is arriving. What a wonderful change. Putting out all fall decorations this weekend. Maybe even baking.

I think we had a bit of frost night before last. I'm so glad, too!! I've been watching for it so I can worm my horses but I don't think it was enough of a frost to be helpful.

The flies have started being overly 'sticky' and I'm thinking they know it's gonna be a hard winter.

We got down to 26 early thismorning, and only warmed up to 55. It is so windy and rainy, typical fall weather. It is cool in the house but am not ready to turn on the furnace yet. We try to hold out until October 1st, but 90% of the time it ends up before then.

I've had a fire for the last two days-I dread starting so earlier-but this big old boat of a house gets chilly by the bay...
