Spent the afternoon harvesting honey and wax from one of my three beehives. The drought has effected honey production and Bee survival rates in my area this year. I was very grateful to be able to pull two medium supers off one hive. My DH and I spent most of the evening extracting. 2 medium supers = 5 gallons super smooth honey.

ALready planning ahead for spring in the anticipation of expanding and getting at least one more hive going.

Love honey!

congrats on the honey this year.

I will admit to my pang of guilt when I killed a bee today, he was landing on my baby boy and you don't come after my baby boy.

A good harvest Heather.
I took 7 frames of honey off of my hive yesterday also.
The eighth frame I put back, as they didn't have much of it filled.
It sure is good.
