Ugh...guess I won't be freezing any pumpkin puree this season. Hmpf. It's either rats, raccoons or something eating them. Grrr! next year I need a fence. What a waste of planting and weeding and waiting. I know I can buy them, but I knew mine were organic.
It's probably a woodchuck. They love pumpkin and cantaloupe and watermelon and any kind of melon. That's why I can't grow them here. I have woodchucks. If I don't have them growing in the garden, they don't go visit. I had to live trap a few before. I hope you can catch the buggars soon. That's so frustrating to work so hard and anticipate things then go outside one morning and it's either gone or has bites taken out of it.
We have rabbits eating our pumpkins. I used to love having them in the yard when they ate the dandelions, but now I'm about to get hubby's b.b. gun and hunt them down!

My friend Valerie calls my garden Ft. Knox, because it is surrounded by chain link and then has a bird netting type top on top of that...and something STILL ate my pumpkins. :( Disappointed because I planted Halloween mix with different colors. I think it was chipmunks. Could explain why the two foot snake I now call Sam is hanging round there.
So, I feel for ya, Kristina!
