Today was the first time I applied for some badges. I started in cleaning up. I use homemade natural cleaning products and brought all the ingredients to a friends house and taught her how to make them and also posted about it on my blog.http://simplepleasures317.blogspot.com/2012/09/homemade-cleaning-products.html I also purchased a few more reusable shopping bags from Trader Joes and shared one with a neighbor. Then I purchased a water timer for my shower and have been using that. It's the coolest little gadget basically like an hourglass that goes for 5 minutes and you know when to get out! I have to do the last requirement and talk to the city about how our energy is produced, I'm a little nervous about bothering them with this but I'll do it anyway. lol

That's so cool, Michelle! I am planning on making my own cleaners sometime soon, too. I've never heard of the shower timer, but that is a great idea! We installed a water-saving showerhead when we moved into our house a few years ago. Every little bit helps!
