We practice organic gardening and have a raised bed and I container some veggies on our patio every year just to make use of every available space for growing. We had a VERY bad drought this year and we fell pray to blossom end rot. I have utilized certain methods to counter act this, but I think I need more options. I know calcium can help combat this even in drought, and wondered if any of you Farmgirl gardeners could tell me the most successful ways you've added calcium to garden beds and containered plants.
Thanks for any advice!

I make cheese and put the whey, which is what is left after you remove the milk solids when making cheese, on the ground around the roots. It is very high in calcium and my plants LOVE it.
