For some reason or another I can't load my payment/billing info onto Etsy. Everything I try it just takes me back to the same page. I sent a email to Etsy & what they surgested didn't work. Has anyone else had ths promble when opening an Etsy shop? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Thanks for any help you have to offer. *Hugs* Fran

Hi! I set up my Etsy shop several years ago before they did their re-vamping. So, I am not sure how the set up process goes these days. I know there have been a few bugs in the site recently due to some changes admins made. Recently, they added "direct checkout", which is where you set up an account with Etsy and customers pay via their credit card, the money goes into Etsy's system and then they pay it to you in turn. (I am not using DC, because of some issues with it and delays in payment via the shop payment accounts). This may be the source of your problem. When they come up with something new on the site, there are often "bugs" that need working out.
If you are going to have an Etsy shop I recommend using Pay Pal, so you'll need to set up an account with Pay Pal. Also you can accept checks and money orders, if you choose.
Sometimes getting a response from Etsy can take a few days; I hope by now you have gotten this issue resolved!

Oh I disagree....I have direct check-out in my Etsy stores enabling my customers to use their credit cards and my sales have doubled. I also have Pay-Pal.
You can indicate on your schedule for direct check-out (Credit Card) deposits to read "Next Banking Day" deposits instead of the regularly scheduled deposits on Mondays, which I like because even with a small sale it will get into my checking account faster.
I would NEVER accept checks and I completely eliminated accepting Money Orders as it takes too long to process. When I sell something I prefer to have it paid for immediately so the process can begin. Also, I have stopped "reserving" an item because it has happened more than once where the buyer either changes their mind or wants to wait an excessive amount of time to pay for it-which isn't smart because another buyer will note the item is reserved and you have lost the sale. Just my thoughts....
Keep contacting Etsy Help they have always responded to my questions.
