Yes please 1 set to the same person. It is hard to believe we have been working on this for a year already! Has anyone heard from Darlene? I wonder how she is doing. Rebecca

I am ready.. sign me up for two blocks for each month.
Do we have a theme for August yet? I have a few suggestions:
No theme, just fabrics in all polka dots or all stripes Everyones favorite stash Hobbys Animals/pets Childrens/story book
Okay, I know I streched it a bit, but really am trying.
Anyone else have ideas?
Joan

Joan your ideas are great! I do think we need to come up with something that represents the month though like all the other blocks have. The thing I keep thinking of for August is summer, but we've already done that.
How about things that represent summer like the BEACH, VACATION, or something similar. What do you think? Any other ideas out there?
Have a Nice Day!

Cherise,
Can you belive it? I looked for beach fabric and counld not find anything that looked suitable. So... I decided (for me) that vacation sounds great. I was able to something that I think will be work and am getting started soon. Is everyone signed up? Fran, where are you?

Oooh Toni,
What a nice surprise. Thanks so much for posting a picture.
For the August vacation idea, the colors remind me of going to the fair midway with the rides, colored lights and the excited laughter of everyone. The frogs bring memories of swimming holes and fishing and just being a kid. An expolsion of fun before the cool weather creeps in.
The fall 9 patch reminded me of walking to school, kicking and playing in the leaves of all colors and types. I loved hearing them cruching beneath my feet and ahhhh, the wonderful smells of neighbors burning the leaves while I walked.
Yesterday my family celebrated my 70th birthday. I guess I am getting more and more nostalgic with each quickly passing year.
Anyway, thanks again for posting the photos. Hope you enjoy the blocks as much as I enjoyed making them.
Hugs, Joan

Hello Joan...
I received my blocks too! They're fabulous! Thanks so much for making such fun blocks! I really appreciate you telling us about the feelings behind them. It makes them that much more special! :) Happy 70th B-Day to you! :) I'm hoping to work on your blocks this weekend. Sorry I haven't gotten them done yet. I have ideas of what I want to do and the fabric's sitting there waiting for me to create with it.
Have a Wonderful Day!
Cherise :)

Cherise,
Glad you received your blocks and more importantly, that you like them. We all put such care in chosing the fabric and creating our little work of art. It is so nice to know that it is appriciated. I know I treasure each one that was lovingly sent to me.
I look forward to receiving yours.
Hugs, Joan

Toni,
The two terrific blocks arrived! August with two giant flip flops appliqued, then blanket stitched all around. So summery, so happy, so different... love it! Then September with the wonderful embroidery of books worms. Such a unique idea. Love that too.
But THEN, all of the cute and creative embellishments for card making. (yes, I make over 30 cards a year for children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and other family members), so these will really be put to good use. On top of all of that you send some adorable novelty fabrics. The package was stuffed full of suprises. See me smile big time! Still smiling.
Toni, you are too kind, extremely generous and I loved the (handmade) note.
Thank you isn't enough, so I will send you big hugs and happy wishes. Joan

Rebecca,
My blocks came! I should have posted a two days ago. They are gorgeous! I love the inspiration for the sunflower block. I will have to get pictures posted as soon as I clean off the cutting table to lay them out for the pictures. I loved the halloween apron. I will have to make a bake date with my sister so I can wear it while we make some pumpkin cookies. Thank you so much you were super generous!
