Well, we went to get some new chicks last night. Black and white's they are so cute. And the guy gave us a rooster too. He was too noisey for city limits. So here is a pic. Isn't he handsome? We are trying to figure out a fitting name.
My red hens are not too happy about having new hens and a 'man' in the house.

Is he a cochin? If he is, I would name him Jim, because Ji is how you say rooster in Chinese.

I have no idea what kind he is. My hubby did tractor work for a guy. And took 6 balck and white chicks(from this spring), a rooster, new netting to for the chicken run, and 6 birds in the freezer.
He did good. He loves to barter as much as I do.

Well, he has a name. Colonel Sanders. He reminds me of the type of bird on the older-style Kentucky Fried Chicken buckets. Sounds silly, but none our birds have serious names. They are all persaonality appropriate. So far, we have Flop, Ginger, Sweetie, Cluck and "The Twins" (one is Good and one is Evil).

Oh my gosh! I was going to suggest Colonel Sanders because that is what we have named ALL our white roosters we've ever had. We can't ever tell the difference between any of them (with other breeds we don't have as much trouble) but with those white ones (ours are White Rocks) they all look the same. Cute picture - enjoy your roo!
