For any of you on FB........

Does it seem that FB anymore has just become endless posters of everyone's causes, political rants , and pet peeves, postings of posters that do more to hurt ,offend , etc?

Gosh, we all have our passionate views and I am sure guilty as well!!

But lately it seems FB pages are never ending with this stuff. Sometimes just a handful of friends can be posting 10-30 each day!!! It's kinda getting overwhelming.

Sooooo.......I had a thought, a challenge I guess?
Those of us on FB? How about an uplifting, encouraging post each day?

Maybe even personal post of something fun and encouraging....anything that may bring a smile to someone's day, even if only for that moment? And less of the 'cause and politics' posters?

What do you say? In a world so full of daily sorrow and such, we can get all this on our daily news!!! Let's find some happier, more positive encouragement to share on our FB walls!
I'm sure that more 'positives' will have a far stronger and more meaningful impact than all the 'negative' does?!

Anybody else ready to try?

Farmgirl hugs,
Linda

AMEN and AMEN!! I spend very little time on Facebook but some of the things I read are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO discouraging. Some of it from some of my own "friends".
When I do post I do try to do upbeat, fun and/or encouraging things!
Good idea!

Yea!!! I agree, let's try this and maybe eventually it will start better trends and habits!!! I can hardly find my gkids little posts anymore for all the barrage of 'opinion posts'!

I have been guilty as well, but many people just go way over the top every single day!
Have fun sisters as we try!

Farmgirl hugs,
Linda

I agree. I hate to say it, but I am even thinking about unfriending some of my friends ( and they are friends) because of all the negative, nasty, political stuff they're posting. I'm really getting tired of reading I'm a moron because I'm not liberal enough. So yes, let's try being uplifting and encouraging. If we don't reply to their rants and keep posts positive things maybe some of these folks will get the message. I know that's a BIG maybe, but you never know.

That is one thing I don't do (generally) is respond to the negative stuff. It just fuels the fire for the most part.
I agree if we put the positive out there perhaps . . and I believe it will, on some level . . have a positive impact.
Thanks girls!

Linda, you can start a "group" where only the ladies on MJF post. One was started for folks that belong to a quilting group and it seems to be working out well.
