We are Grandparents for the very first time. My son and his wife had their baby yesterday. Her name is Elaina Grace and she weighed in at 6lbs 4oz. They left for the hospital which is about an hour away. I left after they called to tell me they would keep her. I made it their and she was already having her baby. She went very fast for a first time mother. Everything went textbook and she did wonderful she didn't even have any pain meds it was a natural birth. She looks great and so does the baby. I am relieved all went so wonderful for them.

They are elated to finally see their daughter and are bursting with happiness. They truly have been blessed.Hope these pictures come through.

Congratulations!!! What a beautiful family. I have three grandsons, now in high school and college. Enjoy every minute. Your grandchild will grow up much too quickly.

What a beautiful little girl! How exciting to be a grandmother. I know you will enjoy every second. Your DIL is lucky to have a MIL who is so concerned about and proud of how her birth experience went. Good for you!

Congratulations on your most beautiful addition. Its an exciting time for everyone when a little one is born. We added a grandson to our clan in March and he is growing like a weed...we had him for 6 days of last week while his mother "re-arranged" her life (she could never ever be a farm girl that one)he cried nearly the whole time we had him, unfortunately, and pap and myself walked and rocked and bounced and shooshed ourselves silly but of course we still loved it and felt for him. They really do sense any stress or situation that goes on and it gets them all out of whack poor little dears. Hopefully your precious little one will have nothing but peaceful times and sweet dreams ahead. What a doll.

Went to see the new grandbaby today and she looked so different. Her nose is smaller and she looks so much more like a little girl. I guess she was a little puffy from the birth. I will post a new picture when I get them loaded. I held her about 20 minutes and watched her sleep and purse her lips and she even smiled a few times. What a sweetie.

She's really beautiful, Linda--enjoy, enjoy. As my mom said when Violet turned 3, "I hurts to watch her grow any older--if I could stop her right now, I surely would."
