Okay girls - just in case you haven't heard...
Up to 64,000 computers may be affected with malware that will prevent users from internet access beginning tomorrow, Monday, July 9th.
For more information concerning the matter, please just do a search for "Malware Monday" and you'll find an abundance of information.
Just to be safe, though, I want to share this information to help you ensure your computer isn't infected:
Click at this link http://www.dns-ok.us/ and if the background is green, your computer is safe from malware. If the color is red, your DNS isn't clean and needs to be fixed of malware by late Monday. (Thankfully, mine was green! Yes!)
You may also visit the FBI’s website, http://bit.ly/FBI-checker and enter your DNS information.
McAfee has also set up a site to help you determine whether your computer is infected: http://bit.ly/Mcafee-checker. If your computer is clear of malware, McAfee will congratulate you.
I had called Comcast on Friday about this and the representative I spoke to directed me to a program I was able to download that protects your computer from bots... I did so, and my computer was fine; however I cannot for the life of me find the web address for you. I'm sure, however, you can contact your internet provider, whomever it is, and they will be able to instruct you further.
I pray that none of you are affected! Good luck! Hope to "see" you all tomorrow!
Hugs -
