I found the most incredible ice cream recipe online at Allrecipes.com. We wanted ice cream for the 4th and I tried this recipe. Oh my gosh. Haagen-Dazs can't do any better. It was awesome. I put a few pictures and the recipe up at the blog. You gotta try it!!

The ice cream does look so good on your blog...I am like you, I don't like the grainy homemade type ice I am going to give this a try. The only thing is that I have gotten so spoiled with just opening a container and none of the dirty dishes or mess...it has been years since I made homemade.

Sarita, I know what you mean about the convenience. Making ice cream takes a bit of effort for sure! What I love about this recipe is that the leftovers can go into a container in the freezer and it's there for the scooping just like the kind you get at the store - only richer! I think I'm going to get creative and see just how many kinds I can make.

Mary Beth, I added the ingredients to my next shopping list. I have some fresh peaches now...oh so good. I will also chop up mello mint patties and add. I love vanilla ice cream with chocolate and mint. Let
us know what favors you come up with. Thanks for the recipe!

If you're looking for a convenient ice cream maker, I absolutely LOVE mine. It's not cheap, but you can find them used for less.

That creamy recipe sounds awesome. I've got two batches of ice cream made from my usual recipe chilling in the fridge right now, but I'll try this one next time. Thanks!

I have to tell you, two of my friends from Tishmingo stopped in yesterday and since I was kinda short on treats to offer them, I got cute little bowls and put two scoops of the leftover ice cream in them. They loved it! Didn't even know it was homemade until I told them. Not one bite of that ice cream has gone to waste. My new fav.
