Does anyone have any natural suggestions for allergy relief? I can't take the "over the counter" stuff because it screws up my thyroid medicine. The pollen here is terrible this year, and I am miserable with runny nose, itchy/runny eyes, etc.
Thanks! Luanne

I've found that local honey & even better local bee pollen help a good deal. Though you have to use alot of it which is easy with honey because its tasty but not so much with bee pollen because it tastes like dusty wax. :(

There are a few good homeopathic remedies out there that do work. I find also that uping my vita C dose during allergy season helps too.

I don't know why I never gave the raw honey and pollen a thought (my boyfriend is a beekeeper!!!!). I'll give that a try first, and I'll try more vitamin C also.
Thank you both!

Yeah, I would definitely give the raw honey and pollen a try! I used to get the hay fever/allergies really bad when I worked on the farm until I started using local raw honey and taking pollen (also local) and the next time they cut hay I didn't get allergies hardly at all!

My sister swears by peppermint essential oil rubbed on yout feet near the toes. Your feet have the largest pores on your body. Look for Therapeutic grade essential oil! doTerra sells it and so does Young Living, and I think Mountain Rose Herbs does too. They all sell fine products. I am a doTerra distributor, so I am a little biased :)

Luanne, My hubby has seasonal allergies and, for years, has used honey and finds it to to be VERY HELPFUL. Key is that is has to be LOCAL honey because it will have in it all the same things he's allergic to.
Just this last year he started using Nettle tea and found that helpful. My daughter, who lives in Arizona, deals with spring allergies as well and she swears that regular use of her neti pot helps her, as well as nettle tea and her local honey.
Me? I'm grateful that I don't have to deal with allergies. Hope you find relief! CJ
