I've had some screaming moments with the spiders so I have to share this too.

Two days ago, I went out to pick wild black raspberries. I was working very diligently and trying not to get poked from prickers. I had a very upset red-winged black bird that must have a nest out there in the tall grass or trees. It kept coming at me and squawking, so I was trying to keep one eye on her too.

I was just minding my own business and my son had walked out to help, but made no noise walking out. Neither did the bird. When I saw him out of the corner of my eye it scared the livin' day lights out of me - literally. I just didn't expect anyone way out there.

So they shared that at dinner and laughed about it. Then today I am out there picking berries again. I was out with my 12 year-old and we heard a cat meowing. At first we thought it was a kitten. Then we found out both female barn cats were out there with us. The cats were just hanging out with us.

My daughter and I split up and went our own ways, and the cats disappeared. I was bent over concentrating on picking berries and a cat fight broke out in the bush I was picking from - again making me scream loudly and jump out of my skin. My daughter came over, becuase she thought the bird had attacked me. Ha ha ha!

The kids think this is so funny. So what did they do to me tonight?!

Well, my son of 20 years, decided to dangle a plastic snake to the side of my face while making dinner. Good think I didn't have pots in my hands. Again, I screamed and jumped.

I think they are just having a little too much fun with this.

Ha ha ha...I think you're right Kristina...sounds like they have your number and are going to continue to "play" with "unsuspecting" you!
Hey- its all in good fun right?
Sounds like you and the family are enjoying the summer already!
Thanks for sharing the cute story.
Hugs,
