Frannie,
Never heard of it, but will be interested to find out what it could be. Something to do with rug making, maybe?
Best wishes,
Jayne

Yes Frannie, I have. I took a class about 4 or 5 months ago. It is fun, uses scrapes, and I made a size like a place mat, and my cat sleeps on it. I also purchased enough string and grid to do a throw rug. It is hard on your hands, but I love to crochet, and it uses a crochet like hook and you pull the fabric up through the grid like rug hooking but then run a string threw with the crochet hook which keeps the fabric from pulling back out. It looks nice. It's easy, and you don't have to count or think about what your doing.

i did recently purchase the backing and yarn and needle ... am accumulating lots of 'homespuns' .. then i'll try my hand at it. i saw samples in a primitive FARMHOUSE shoppe and fell in love with it. have some very 'basic' instructions. gloria .. would love to see your projects.

jayne .. when i get back home .. i can take a photo of the kit and instructions to show you. don't see the supplies in the local 'crafts' stores yet though.

Hi Gloria and Frannie,
I like to make rag rugs but had never seen this technique before. Looks easier and more 'solid' than latch hooking - if that makes sense?! Looks as though it would make really long lasting, hard wearing rugs.
Thanks,
Jayne

i have done this as well, and i really like it.
i got all my supplies at a quilt shop in mckinney, texas.
so far i've only made a pillow for a wicker ottoman that i have. i like it cause im partial to scrap crafts and i used old silk ties and blouses to make the strips.
i'd really like my next project to be a primitive type picture of a cat or something like that but i didnt do that off the bat cause i didnt want to make something that had to look like something, that way if i made a mistake it wouldnt show, i thought.
i started out using cotton, but i switched to silk cause it was easier on my hands, and i also think i had cut the cotton too wide.

love
