I’m not sure if anyone has done this before, but I want to make a quilt. Not just any quilt, but a Farm Girl quilt. What I would like to do is get a 6.5” quilt square from any and all farm girls who want to do it. Fabric pattern and color doesn’t matter too much, but I do want the name of the farm girl sending it on the square, and maybe the state where they live. You can embroider it, stamp it, paint it, what ever, just as long as it shows up in the middle of the square. Once I get all the squares, I will piece them together then quilt it. After it’s completed, I’ll post a picture of it on the site with a list of names of the contributing quilters. If anyone is interested in sending me a square, just email me and I’ll answer back with my address. Thanks to all who help me complete this very special quilt! I hope I hear back from ALL of you!

Julie, that sounds great! Count me in. You may end up with either one very, very large quilt or maybe you can make a couple. Lots of farmgirls on the boards you know!

I know! But I'll take my chance. I think it would be great to have more than one! I'm glad you're participating. Can't wait to get your square!

I'd love to do this, but... I cannot sew or would not know how to do a quilting square. Great idea.

Marly, she just meant a 6.5 inch square of quiltable cotton fabric. Its pretty much just thin cotton fabric so you could take the fabric from a button up shirt or pillow case. After that you just emborider, stamp or paint your name & state. They have paint pens that would do the trick if you can't emborider it...

Iam willing to join in. Just send me your address, Julie.

Marly, Fran's right. If you can use a ruler and scissors, you can do this. If you aren't comfortable, I understand, but it really is easy! Hope you decide to do it. I would love to have another Louisiana Farm Girl on the quilt! Thanks, Diana and Fran! I'll get y'all my address. Sandra, did you post on yours? I see the quote but I'm not sure about your response! :O)

I'm doing great, Toni, but overwhelmed! Girl, do I owe you a letter or what????? I hope you're doing great. I am SO glad you are doing a square. Somehow the quilt just wouldn't be as good if you weren't on it!!!!!
