Is there a ROAK list? If not can we start one? I think that might be kinda neat considering how we all like getting stuff in the mail and it's even more fun to send things to people randomly, you know....whattaya think?

Okay then whoever wants to take part we need to set up a data base of addresses and likes. In a ROAK it is not necessary to reciprocate with a gift, but a nice thank you is good. If you do get something, it is nice o pay it forward as well....
How should we go about setting up a list then? Ideas?

everyone could send their addresses via email to Tasha then Tasha can create a list of addresses and then email them out to everyone individually..just a thought.(Tasha when you get the addresses via email create a folder in your email in box labeled "Roak gal addresses", then when you get all the addresses just cut and paste them into an email to send out, you won't have to type alot and you'll stay organized with all of them this way)

well, everyone who wants a part would actually receive the ENTIRE list....it isnt an exchange like the others....it's more like, if you come across somethinf or make something and it is something that you know someone else would enjoy, you send it to them.....does that make sense?
So okay....if you want to take part, send me your full name along with your user name, your mailing adress and a short list of things you might like to see in your post box. I will get the list together and forward it to each who is taking part.

Oh and the items can be handmade, thrift finds, junk market finds, etc. it can be something as simple as a recipe that the person was looking for, to a particular make of china for a tea cup and saucer, or fabric and rickrack, or patterns, knic knacs, home made teas, quilt squares, aprons, linens, hankies, books, cookbooks, whatever!! *thinking I just made my list...lol**

I think this is a great idea and a fun sounding one too...
Thanks for organizing this. The swaps here with the gals are so much fun! My husband has enjoyed seeing me getting creative..not that I wasn't before..it was just that I never took the time for "me and my stuff/crafting and creating" it seemed..so now this has all brought out more of my creative self that has been tucked away for a while(at least 6 yrs since I've really crafted much of anything.. was too busy taking care of babies). thanks everyone!I've really been enjoying this.

oh crud...I jsut keep thinking of things.....
There is no date on this for sending anything as it is RANDOM, and it is an ongoing thing and anyone can join but I will put join dates on randomly so that it isn't a constant changing of the address list. So for right now how baout the address list sign up closes for this period in two weeks. We will leave the list as is for a couple of months and then update it again. sound good?
