Received two cards in todays mail...One of the good ole Moonshiners from Fran's vacation in the North Carolina mountains, and one from Tammy in my home state of New York- up in Binghamton.

Got great postcards from Karla, My sharks tooth did not make it! Sylvia, from the City that never sleeps! been there 3 times, love it!Linda, in Beautiful Washington state, North Carolina, Moonshiners, Love it from, Wauka Mountain Mama! and beautiful Long Island, from Laurie! I love all my postcards so much,I have so enjoyed learning about the US and communicating with my Farm sisters!

Hi Tammy I got your postcard and I love it. When i was growing up and we went to the fair, my sister and I would ride the merry-go-round over and over. That is a very wonderful memory for me.So Tammy thank you for a reminder of a long a ago memeory that makes me happy.

Got a card from the Carousel Capital of the world!Binghamton,New York !What Fun! and they ARE such pieces of wonderful art!!Thank you Tammy! I don't know of anyone, who does not love to ride, or watch a Carousel! Such a wonderful memory of Chilhdood also!

Jackpot today! Got 3 postcards. Thanks Fran for the vintage
looking "moonshiners" North Carolina card, lots of beauty in
your state and I love the Smokey mountains. Laurie, gorgeous
coastline scene of Long Island and other scenes in your montage
postcard and loved the "LI" written in the sand beneath the glowing
sunset. Tammy, one of my hobbies is photographing antique carousel
horses so I fell in love with your Binghamton postcard. We are lucky
enough to have one of the earliest of those carousels at the Woodland
Park Zoo in Seattle. It was built in 1918 and I've photographed
quite a few of the horses on it. I even have a CD of original
carousel music from some of these lovely and historic creations.
So many wonderful postcards from so many different places,
I've really enjoyed this fun exchange. Thanks again CJ!

I have gotten 3 postcards so far this week, one from Fran which reminds me of my cousin who lived with her husband there and apparently he was a moonshine runner...she didn't stay with him I guess and moved back to Colorado...The other one I got was from Laurie from Long Island NY it is like a collage photo card really nice photos of the area. Thanks and the one I got today was from Tammy from Binghampton Ny about Carousels, Did you say that the price of admission was a peice of garbage? How interesting...

Yeah, people still make Moonshine. They don't run it anymore seeing as how theres no money in it now that prohibition is over, plus its still illegal...Well, actually I think I did see a thing where people where running shine. I guess it depends on location.
I have a set of plans for making a still but I don't really care to do that much work. 
I loved the postcard when I found it because my family ran shine back in the day. My great-aunt did the classic hide it under her rocking chair with a lap blanket when the cops came around. 
Live simply. So that others may simply live.

| I recieved 3 post cards today from Fran, loved the moonshiners, my husbands uncle's were known to cook up a brew. Laurie I loved the old country looks of NY. And to Tammy I have riding in a hot air balloon on my bucket list. Thank you all so much, really enjoy getting post cards. |

WE must have a lot of Michigan Farmgirls. Which is very cool...I got another postcard of Michigan
from Rebecca Miller today. I love your story about being a Caretaker for an Old Abandoned Fishing
Resort on a remote Island. How exciting is that??? Loved it!!!

Ladies, don't worry...I have moved but brother will check my old mailbox every time he plans to come here and brings them to me lol. I have sent all my cards but it looks as not all have arrived yet boohoo. HOPE they will show up soon. Haven't received a card in about 2 weeks either but am sure also sure (??) they will arrive here soon lol

Just received a postcard from Natalie (Yaklady) of beautiful Glacier National Park in Montana. I have always wanted to visit there. I have been to the Canadian Rockies, and loved it so I am sure that I would love GNP too! Hopefully someday!
