I love hostas and have the regular kind:green w/pale cream outer edges. I am looking for something different to put in a pot. I have seen some with unusual colors like bluish greens and even one that had some pink in it. I want something really different and cannot find it in any of the local garden centers including Lowes. Found a few online and they went from $24.99-$49.00 for one! Do any of you farmgirls have anything like this that you would like to trade for? I have anything from handmade crocheted doilies, fabrics, vintage train cases, vintage bed tray, just all kinds of stuff including needlework accessories........Oh, and lots of Hollyhock seeds I saved from last year. They are expensive in the little packs. I probably have a quart of them. I also have all kinds of needlework books, etc.... Thanks for any help with this.

Tracy....I just have the normal Hosta also, but I have seen some of those beautiful ones like you described. Hopefully someone else will be able to send you a start. I would have loved to trade with you...sounds like you have all kinds of cool stuff to swap.

I have several different kinds of hostas, I have that normal kind that you described as well as quite a few other varieties of various types of green that flower white, pink and I thought a greenish tint. I won't know for sure until later when they bloom again but I would be willing to send you some, I will go outside in a little bit here and see how many different kinds I have (although like I said before I won't know for sure which ones are which until they bloombut I can tell the different varieties by their leaves). So I will keep you posted :)

There is a giant hosta farm near where I live called "Land of the Giants". http://landofthegiantshostafarm.com/index.html Beautiful pictures and some may help you name your hostas. I love hostas and have several different varieties in my shade gardens. My favorite is a large leafed lime green one.

Hello Krystal. I would love to see your hostas in bloom. Maybe you have one you would like to trade. They sound beautiful.
