Hey all--
The last few years, my hollyhock leaves have come up fine, then after about a week, get all these rust/brown spot all over the leaves. They look awful, and obviously, the flower isn't a big production because "something" is wrong with them. Anyone have any idea? Should I simply dig them up and start fresh? Is it something in the soil, now?

I don't know much but maybe it is a fungus and you could get a fungicide to spray on them?

I found this on the internet. Is this what your leaves look like?

Ugh--yuck. Exactly, Audrey. I'm going to have to print this out and read it. I don't remember that my Grandmother or Great Aunt EVER had this problem with theirs--in fact, my grandmother always told me they were the "easiest thing to grow" but I've had nothing but ugly foilage and no flower since I planted them.

Bummer. I'll see if I can fix what is apparently, VERY broken.
