Thank you ladies, for your kind welcome. I am excited to jump in to reading and learning more about the sisterhood. I hand delivered my first invitation for a farm girl friend to join my local chapter AND the MJF sisterhood. I tied the invite to a hand crafted bottle of lavender hibiscus kombucha (fermented black tea)and shared my recent copy of MJF <3 As we toured her garden, smelled all of her yummy hand made soaps and looked at her new longhorn calfs....I knew she would be a great mentor sister for me and others.Be on the lookout for Michelle at MiaBella Farm. She is a very inspiring woman!
Joining the group has me dreaming of all that my future holds. We are visiting our new property EVERY weekend and will be there full time when school is out the first week of June. My mother in law has already moved next door and is tending to our first two Dairy Goats (Bella and Baby. Will share photo's as the adventure begins.
I have also joined the apron swap....I am trying to get back to a love of sewing that I had as a young girl....I am a bit rusty. But, I am looking forward to some aprons to practice. IF anyone gets one of my aprons....know that it is a bit primitive but made with LOVE, haha!
Well, I am off to bottle more Kombucha today, turn my worm beds and compost, make some goat milk chevre, make some nourishing bone broth for the family and IF there is time left....sew that apron. Wishing you EACH a beautiful day filled with love, dirt and sunshine!

Jennifer,
My hubby was in Iola yesterday at the community center! He was attending the Clover Day workshop (Gene pollock)to learn more about rotational grazing aspects of multi species farming....we want pigs and cows with our goats! We get our beef from StarHaven? Do you know the Hadaway's? GREAT people :-) Look forward to meeting you someday.
