Found one at the thrift store for $1.00. About the same size as the plastic yarn holders at Joanns with the hole in the center. I wanted a new yarn holder but I do not like the hole in the middle because what if I get tired of that project and want to switch? Enter the trusty Dremel tool and a cut off wheel. I cut a slit in the top all the way through the edges to the middle and lined the edge with electricians tape so the thread would not catch. Now I do not have to cut the thread to do another project. The slit in the lid is not big enough to weaken the lid and it slides off and on easily.
