Would anyone be interested in participating in a monthly 12"x12" scrapbook page swap? I was thinking maybe we could do a monthly theme, and only one partner per person per month. I'm also thinking maybe it would be a good idea to have participants sign up on a monthly basis, just in case anyone needs a break for any reason. You could be as creative as you'd like with your design and embellishments, of course, and pages would need to be designed to include picture spaces for the recipient to include her own pictures... And I think it would be really, really neat if on the back of the scrapbook page we could create a small (or big - whichever you prefer) "personalized" section with a personal note, anecdote and picture of the "Creative Farmgirl Artiste"... Wouldn't it be so great to have a keepsake scrapbook full of pages created especially for each other? I think it would be such a wonderful thing! I'd cherish it forever!

Let me know what you think... Monthly theme ideas are definitely welcome! Maybe some months will be holiday theme, maybe others will be based on incorporating some new technique or a particular embellishment (like buttons, for example), etc. :) If you're interested, I'm thinking maybe we'll start in May?

I'm getting so excited just thinking about it! Hope you all will be, too! I always treasure anything I've received from my farmgirl sisters - but I think this would be something extra special, indeed! :)

Hugs -

Nini

I think this is a wonderful idea! I'd love to join in on the fun...and May would be good, as I'm busy busy up until the end of May. I'm really looking foward to this! Maybe May could be flower themed? and an idea for July could be 4th of July (or Canada Day out here!) and maybe August could be Beach Day or Watermelon themed?? Just some ideas :) Joyce

Sounds like fun!
Count me in. May would be a good time for me to start as well.
Have a little on my plate for Easter and don't want to over extend
my little (I wish) old self. LOL!

Yay! I'm so glad to hear you both would like to join the fun! I think this will be such a cool swap! I can't wait!!! I'm pretty tied up 'til the end of May, myself, so May or even June would be a good start for me. Let's see what the other girls want to do, and I'll take everyone's cue and proceed accordingly, okay?

Joyce - I see you're in Canada. I had some issues arise in past swaps due to customs and shipping issues with farmgirls in other countries, but I really, really would love for you and other non-U.S. resident farmgirls to be included! How cool will that be?!!!

Having said that: Farmgirls, when signing up, please let us know if you're willing and able to occasionally participate with farmgirls outside of the U.S. It's not really that difficult to do, but you will have to fill out a special declaration form at the Post Office when mailing. Also the postage might be a little higher, and the ship times might be a little longer. It will really help me when I pair up partners each month to know whether or not this is something you're able to do - I really want to make this as easy and fun as possible for everyone involved! THANK YOU!!!

Debbie - That little bunny is courtesy of my 12 year old neice... I'm glad you love it - I really do, too! She always adds the cutest do-dads and sayings to her emails! I'm borrowing it with her permission, of course. I can't wait what else she comes up with - she's always full of surprises! :)

Happy Sunday!!!

If it is not to late I would be interested. Do we leave the part for the pictures blank?

With lots of hugs and smiles, have a great day.

Hi Linda!

Yeah... That's what I'm thinking - we could make "frames" if we want, but leave them blank so people could personalize the pages with their own pictures... Maybe it'd even be helpful to pencil in the picture sizes that would fit in the spaces, too?

It's not too late at all... I just need a little more time. I have a health issue I'm contending with now, and I can't get started until the end of June, if that's all right with you girls... OR if you want to start without me, I'll join in then... What do you think???

I am really happy you all would like to do this! I can't wait!

Hugs -

Nini, as much as I would LOVE to do this, I know I just can't. Please post photos. Just a clarification thought for y'all-are you talking about decorating a 12x12 piece of paper that would then go into a scrapbook? I only use Creative Memories albums so those pages would be different due to the hinge staples. I could put a piece of 12x12 paper onto my page with double sided tape (thus losing what is on the back but wouldn't be able to use a regular scrapbook page. Does that make any sense? Good luck. Have fun. Joey

Awww... that's okay, Joey! Maybe when things settle down and you have more time you'll be able to join us, okay? :) Anytime!

Yes! I did mean that we would decorate 12 x 12 pages to go into the recipient's scrapbook. I think that's a very good point, though about the Creative Memories pages! I know exactly what you're saying... Maybe we could figure out a different way to include the artist information so that those who use the Creative Memories won't lose the info on the back... Do you use the page protectors? Maybe you could instead just slip the 12x12 page into the protector so that you could slide the page out whenever you wanted and see the back? Just a thought. I'm sure we can figure something out, though. Thank you so much for pointing that out! You ROCK, farmgirl! :)

I promise to ask everyone to post pictures... I love seeing all of our farmgirl sisters' creations, too!

Hugs -

I also only use Creative Memories. What I would do is just glue mine onto my white pages that have hinges and that go into the binder, then put the sheet protector overtop. Joyce

Nini and Joyce, I know Creative Memories has a clear hinged plastic page that you could put the scrapebook page into and just not add anything else so you could see both sides. Maybe that would work. Joey
