Hi girls!

I know that those #1 pete jugs are not good for long term storage of water, but do any of you know if they can be used for storage of dry items like rice or flour (with those little oxygen absorber pacs, if they're necessary)? We often buy in bulk to save money. I have some awesome canisters for larger quantities of dry goods, but they're not nearly big enough to store the larger sacks of bulk items their entirety. I do know we can use soda bottles to store, but we don't "do" a lot of soda. We do, however, buy some of the larger jugs of cranberry juice on occasion and I'd like to stretch their use somehow. It just seems such a waste to pitch/recycle them. If you have any other suggested uses for these jugs, too, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks so much for your help!
