Here we are in Bonnie's yard infront of her "barn" for our Farmgirl Meeting in August. The theme was "Farmgirl State Fair." We all brought projects we had been working on and some jams etc. that could be "judged." We also ate some yummy food and had great conversation. One of the highlights was seeing Bonnie and her husbands beautiful gardens in full bloom. At the end of the meeting we picked out fabric from her stash to make simple aprons and she taught everyone the basics. Thank you Bonnie for a great meeting! :)

Bonnie's husband taught us all about bonsai trees in their beautiful Japanese garden.

AnneMarie's yummy pepper jelly on cream cheese!

Bonnie teaching all about simple apron making.

LNaturals aka Laurie shows off some of her fabulous projects for our "Farmgirl State Fair."

Hope you enjoyed a tiny view of our fun meeting!
Hugs,
April

Thanks April for sharing the pics of your meeting. Every aspect of the meeting I fell in love with... from the wonderful project for the State Fair, to the bonsai trees that have always interested me, to the interesting recipe of pepper jelly on cream cheese. Oh, and don't let me forget about Bonnie's apron lessons..Hey, Bonnie, I LOVE your craft room! I am in the process of turning my sunroom into a sewing room.

Farmgirls!

We've had a "million" meetings since I last posted... so here are a few snapshots of our fun!

Bonnie and Lynnie getting to know one another at our "Soup's On" meeting.

A full kitchen of farmgirls discussing soup, stock, broth, and chicken feet!

Alpaca day at Whispering Oaks! Up close and personal with the sweet alpacas!

Mom and daughter owners, Tari and Dani in their little alpaca shop with beautiful fibers and more!

"Beef, It's What's For Dinner" night! A grand time talking about all things beef!

Bonnie taught a class on how to do a Dresden Plate Quilt. It was wonderful!

"Camp Food!" Night! Marcia taught us all about camping with 6 kids and how she prepares food, packs food, and buys food for camping. Lots of fun!

Chef Joe of Marshwatch Farm came and taught us all about cooking with eggs correctly. We learned a lot, ate some amazing dishes, and had a grand time together!

Stay tuned for more fun from River Valley Farmgirls!

Chapter leaders...share your fun with everyone and post your meetings here!
