Hey Farmgirl Chapter Leaders!
I thought I'd start a thread where we can post all about what we are doing at our chapter meetings. I think it would be fun to see what other people are doing and get some great ideas for our own chapters!
Here's some talking points to get you started:
1. Post a photo or several photos from a meeting/outing.
2. Tell us what you did.
3. How many people showed up.
4. Anything quotable from the conversations!
5. What you would do different if you did it again.
6. Any advice/instructions you have for that particular meeting
7. If you're working on merit badges as a group
8. How much fun you've had! :)

The River Valley Farmgirls 2012 February meeting was centered all around making Valentines together. We didn't have any real agenda except for crafting. There were some chocolate treats and ice cream and lots of giggles as we played with paper and glue.
We also had a secret sister Valentine sign-up that day and included those who wanted to participate, but couldn't make it to the meeting.

We haven't been good about taking pictures. So far I'm the only offical farmgirl. At our first meeting I gave each person a mason jar with goodies inside and asked them to repurpose the jar. This was also the first time several of us had ever met. Our second meeting was a potluck lunch and fabric exchange. The hostess gave each of us a present of something she had made. The third meeting was a potluck brunch and we made scarfs out of t-shirts. Our hostess for this get together gave us each a booklet that she had made with ideas for tying scarfs. Our next together for this month will be a potluck, we will then deoorate flip flops. As a special treat my daughter will be making flip flop sugar cookies. What fun! I love this! Good to bounce ideas off each other for fun things to do. My chapter just celebrated our second year together. We just recently went to a tea room and antiquing in a small town. So much fun! Love my sisters!

In May the Bing-hen-ton City Chicks knit chemo caps, had a plant exchange and did our pot luck haveing to use masala spice. In April we made vanilla extract.

Last night we had our June meeting and talked about herbs! We watched an herb video, made an herbal bug spray, made plant markers for our gardens and of course had lots of talking and some dessert. One of the gals even brought some mint starts to share!
Love hearing about everyone's meetings!!! Keep it coming!

| I'll be posting pictures on our blog soon of our fancy flip flops. June 15 was National Flip Flop Day and our get together was on the 16th, we decorated flip flops and had a fantastic time. |

Do ya'll know of a chapter here in Oklahoma, well southeast Oklahoma. Reading about your meetings makes me want to go to one! Hello...my name is shanda....and I'm addicted to all things farmgirl! ha! I don't know if I'm brave enough to start one, but I may have to.
