| I think a pen name should be creative and meaningful enough to reflect something of the writer, while appearing "normal" enough to be a "real" name, IMHO. |

I always said if I ever got published I'd do so as Lydia Mansfield (has yet to happen, lol) I picked Lydia because I like the name and back in the day (well now too)people said I looked like "Lydia" on Beetle Juice and Mansfield because I so adore Jayne Mansfield. I like the way it sounds too. I think it should be something meaningful to you.

| Yes, I do,but don't know if I'm ready to expose the name I use just now. It's derived from my real name. I think It's cute, and I believe it suits the purpose I use it for. |

DH thinks I'm weird for liking to read credits on movies/tv shows, but some of those people have killer names!!!

Hi... Annie here. My suggestion is to use alliteration. It is when two words begin with the same letter or sound such as Caring Cats, Dancing Daffodils. I earned my BA in Speech Communication and only mention it because I learned the power of alliteration in speeches, advertising, rhetoric etc. You will now not be able to help yourself from recognizing it. Some examples of name alliteration are Denise Dennison, Rachell Rouche, Patricia Patterson. In writing, using alliteration would go something like this: Eventhough Sgt. Thomas was war-torn, tortured, and tired he knew he must push on beyond his pain, praying for perserverance and peace of mind. You get it! Have Fun! aNNie iN heNdersoN

Hi, Yes , I use a variation of my middle name and a variation of my last name . Add "son" or the letter A at the beginning of your name or the first name of some on you admire. My Grandmother was a dancer, her stage name was Charlova for Charlotte a favorite cousin . Any way food for thought , good luck.
Peace for now. |
