Ladies, I am amazed and overwhelmed with all that you know and share concerning your herbal wisdom. I know nothing at all, but I want to know. Over the past few years, I have been trying to transition my family to healthier living. I was not reared in a household that was centered in healthy. Instead, it was about convenience. What books or websites could I visit to know more about herbs and herbal remedies? If you would, also please recommend a starting place for me. Like I said earlier, I am overwhelmed.

It's not easy making "the change" (haha). But it's soo much better! A site that I came across recently and LOVE is http://www.herbmentor.com/ It's 8.95 per month or 97 per year (I think). It's basically a learn at your own pace home study course, no certificates or anything but the information on there is AWESOME. If you find a brad or supplier of herbs that you really like, often times the better ones will have classes (geared toward their product of course) but the information is really good. Some of the companies that I like are Mountain Rose Herbs, Nature's Sunshine, and New Sun. Life Extension also has some good information on herbs, although their stuff is more scientific in nature (and their membership is expensive). Also if you look up some herbalists, often they'll have some good info on their websites, I love Susun Weed (and alot of her stuff is on herbmentor), Rosemary Gladstar, Rosalee de Floret (I probably spelled that wrong) are also awesome. There's tons more, but those would be good places to start. Start with something close to your own health needs and go from there, that's what I did anyway.

Rachel,
Thank you SO much. I'm on a mission, and this chatroom is such a great source of information, too. I appreciate your help. I may be back soon, with questions, though. :)
