Oh So Beautiful and so true. I especially like the ending which talks of doing the "humane" thing when the time comes for our beloved 4 legged family members.

Marly, thanks for getting this posted for me...I cryed when I read the first time, and everytime there after, I have a dog named "Ifa" who is getting to that time, and this poem made the thought of having to make that decisean, just a touch easier...

Wow, tears here too. That is beautiful. I always said when I have to pick Sophie up to either take her outside or bring her in, then it was time for her to go. She's almost 15. But she can make it up the stairs still. It takes her a few minutes to rock back and forth to get going, but she makes it. Dogs are great. Wow. Thanks so much for sharing this. It really makes me think about my little friends here. And how much we need each other.
